Join us for a fascinating presentation on the rise and fall of Abe Fortas - a remarkably gifted lawyer whose fall from prominence was swift, but whose life ultimately speaks to the intersection of law and ethics.

 Abe Fortas was:

• a member of the U.S. Supreme Court;

• an unsuccessful nominee for the position of Chief Justice;

• the first justice to resign from the Court under public pressure;

• born in Memphis to Orthodox Jewish immigrants;

• rose from humble origins to the very center of legal and political power in the US.
